Paralegal/ Legal Secretary
Qualifications & Job Requirements:
- At least three (3) years litigation experience
- Matrimonial and Family Law experience a plus
- Able to work independently
- Work closely with attorneys and other office staff
- Strong typing and writing abilities
- Excellent mulitasking and organizational abilities
- Detail oriented with thorough follow up skills
- Notary Public (preferred but not required)
- Excellent typing, phone and computer skills
- Knowledge of WordPerfect, Time Matters and Westlaw Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Heavy client contact
- Drafting of pleadings and subpoenas
- Preparation of discovery demands and responses as well as Statements of Net Worth
- Assembly of motions, preliminary conference documents and discovery responses
- Creating trial books and discovery books
- Entering data and retrieval of files & documents
- Maintaining documents in the proper files
